Websites, AI automation and security for small engine repair shops in Michigan

A website for the first snow and the first mow.

In October the snowblowers come in, and in April the mowers do. People search for a shop the week the engine will not start. I build, host and look after a site for snowblower and mower repair shops, with your hours up front and a tune-up request form.

Start for $49/month

No set-up fee. Renews monthly; cancel with 30 days' notice.

Built, hosted and looked after for $49 a month, billed monthly. No set-up fee. Month 1 is charged when you start.

I’m Kevin Ferron. Through Kevin Ferron Tech Consultancy & Digital Agency (KFTCDA), based in the Detroit metropolitan area, I build, host and look after websites, set up AI automation, set up account and device security and build fixed-price software for small engine repair shops in Michigan.

Questions about the site first?

Five example layouts for a small engine shop’s site. The business is invented, and every layout is fully customizable: yours is designed with you on the intake call.

What the site can have for small engine repair shops

These are examples of what the site can have. There is one enquiry form, and the pages are agreed on the intake call.

  • Hours and a season banner

For example, your shop hours on every page, and a banner that says snowblower drop-off is open in October or that mower season has started in April. Changing it is a text change.

  • The brands you service

The makes you work on, listed on the site, so a customer knows before they carry the machine in.

  • A tune-up request

The enquiry form can ask what the machine is, the brand and what it is doing, and sends each request to you.

How it works

  1. Ask and start

Send a short enquiry with the form. I reply within 24 hours. Use the link to start. No set-up fee. Month 1 is charged when you start.

  2. Send what I need

You send the words and photos, and the intake call sets out exactly what I need. On the intake call we agree the pages and the enquiry form.

  3. Build, preview, live

I build it, and you see it before it goes live. From then on I host it, keep it updated and fix what breaks, and I make the small updates you ask for.

The whole process, step by step →

What is included

  • A site built for you: I build it from what you send me, and you see it before it goes live.
  • Hosting and looking after it: Hosting, backups, security updates and fixes when something breaks are part of the monthly price.
  • Small updates: Changes to text, photos, hours and prices after launch are included. New pages or features are quoted separately.
  • Fast, and built for local search: Pages that load quickly on a phone, set up for local search, with an enquiry form that sends each request straight to you.
  • Online booking on Square Appointments: I set it up on your own Square account: up to 5 services, your availability, a deposit taken through your own Square account, reminders, an embed on your site and a link from Google, and one test booking, recorded.
  • Google Analytics events: Every site on the plan sends Google Analytics events for taps to call and email, the enquiry form, clicks to book where the site has Square booking, directions and pages, to a property that you own, at no extra cost. See the events→
  • A privacy page: A short privacy page on your site that says, in plain words, that the site uses Google Analytics.
  • Me, directly: No account manager and no junior bench. You write to me and I answer.

Built for the first snow and the first mow

Snowblowers come in during the fall and mowers in the spring. Tell me when the season turns and the top of the home page leads with the right one, which is a text and photo change.

AI help with estimates, parts and pickups

The site brings the enquiry in. A few assistants can then do the office work behind it, each with one job and only the tools it needs, and a person approves anything that goes out.

Likely first jobs: Estimate and customer OK; Parts lookup and ordering; Pickup reminders.

An agent graph for small engine repair3 triggers, Machine dropped off, First snow forecast and Ticket waiting 7 days, feed a coordinator that plans and routes. It delegates to 4 agents: Intake clerk (repair tickets) with Shop work orders (draft) and Phone and email (read), Parts finder (parts lookup) with Parts catalog (read) and Supplier orders (draft), Estimate caller (repair estimates) with Shop work orders (read) and Text and email (draft) and Pickup reminder (ready for pickup) with POS (read) and Text and email (draft). A reviewer checks each draft: Checks each draft against the labour rates, the parts list and the customer's yes. A failed check goes back to the agent that made it. Then a person approves (Estimate before any work, Parts orders and Any customer message), and only then is the output produced: Repair ticket and Parts order.Machine dropped offFirst snow forecastTicket waiting 7 daysplanCoordinatorplans and routesdelegateIntake clerkrepair ticketsShop work orders (draft)Phone and email (read)Parts finderparts lookupParts catalog (read)Supplier orders (draft)Estimate callerrepair estimatesShop work orders (read)Text and email (draft)Pickup reminderready for pickupPOS (read)Text and email (draft)checkReviewerRates, parts, customer OKretryA person approvesEstimate before any workParts ordersAny customer messageapproveRepair ticketParts order

Never without a person

No assistant turns an estimate into work, raises the cost, places a parts order or sends a final notice about an unclaimed machine, and none tells a customer a machine is safe to run.

Questions from small engine shop owners

Yes. Tell me when the season turns and the top of the home page changes to match, which is a text and photo change. Small updates after launch (text, photos, hours, prices) are included. New pages or features are quoted separately.

Yes. Send me the makes you work on, and the ones you do not, and the list goes on the site.

Yes. It can ask for the type of machine, the brand and what is wrong. The pages and the form questions are agreed on the intake call.

Your diagnosis becomes a plain estimate the customer can approve by text, and the yes is kept on file. You send it.

A reminder, then a second one, are drafted for you to send, so the floor clears before the next rush.

It is built for local search and I check that your pages are indexed before I call it done. Nobody can promise a ranking, and I will not.

You do, either way. The domain is bought and paid for separately from the monthly price. It stays in your name, and you keep it if you leave.
