The work

I build software wherever the problem is: embedded firmware, backend services, games, and web and mobile products. I tend to leave behind the test infrastructure and frameworks that other engineers rely on. Most recently I wrote C++ and Rust for DC fast chargers at EcoG, and drew how EV charging works from the standards. Before that I directed engineering at Zynga.

Hire the outcome

Fixed-price engineering for software that has to work. We agree on a result we can both check, such as regression in minutes, devices that recover themselves or a team that works AI-native, and I'm paid as each milestone is met. Never by the hour.

  • Three fixed-price tiers by scope, from $1,000, $10,000 or $50,000
  • Starts with a free 30-minute scoping call
  • 30% on signing, then billed milestone by milestone
  • Test infrastructure, field reliability, EV charging, AI-native teams, rescues

EV charging, from the inside

I wrote C++ and Rust for DC fast chargers. These interactive visualizations show how a car and a charger talk, message by message, drawn from the standards.

What I build

The lab, the sites I build for others, my own product, and where else to find me.
