Websites, AI automation and security for plumbers and drain specialists in Michigan

A website for the burst-pipe call.

When a pipe bursts, people search from the kitchen floor and call the first plumber who answers. I build, host and look after a site for solo plumbers and drain specialists, with an easy call button and an enquiry form that asks what is wrong.

Start for $49/month

No set-up fee. Renews monthly; cancel with 30 days' notice.

Built, hosted and looked after for $49 a month, billed monthly. No set-up fee. Month 1 is charged when you start.

I’m Kevin Ferron. Through Kevin Ferron Tech Consultancy & Digital Agency (KFTCDA), based in the Detroit metropolitan area, I build, host and look after websites, set up AI automation, set up account and device security and build fixed-price software for plumbers and drain specialists in Michigan.

Questions about the site first?

Five example layouts for a plumber’s site. The business is invented, and every layout is fully customizable: yours is designed with you on the intake call.

What the site can have for plumbers and drain specialists

These are examples of what the site can have. There is one enquiry form, and the pages are agreed on the intake call.

  • An emergency call button

For example, a tap-to-call button at the top of every page, for the person standing in water with a phone in their hand.

  • A page for each kind of job

For example, a page each for drains, water heaters and sump pumps, agreed on the intake call.

  • A winter note

When the cold comes, a short note on frozen pipes and who to call can lead the home page. Adding it is a text change.

How it works

  1. Ask and start

Send a short enquiry with the form. I reply within 24 hours. Use the link to start. No set-up fee. Month 1 is charged when you start.

  2. Send what I need

You send the words and photos, and the intake call sets out exactly what I need. On the intake call we agree the pages and the enquiry form.

  3. Build, preview, live

I build it, and you see it before it goes live. From then on I host it, keep it updated and fix what breaks, and I make the small updates you ask for.

The whole process, step by step →

What is included

  • A site built for you: I build it from what you send me, and you see it before it goes live.
  • Hosting and looking after it: Hosting, backups, security updates and fixes when something breaks are part of the monthly price.
  • Small updates: Changes to text, photos, hours and prices after launch are included. New pages or features are quoted separately.
  • Fast, and built for local search: Pages that load quickly on a phone, set up for local search, with an enquiry form that sends each request straight to you.
  • Online booking on Square Appointments: I set it up on your own Square account: up to 5 services, your availability, a deposit taken through your own Square account, reminders, an embed on your site and a link from Google, and one test booking, recorded.
  • Google Analytics events: Every site on the plan sends Google Analytics events for taps to call and email, the enquiry form, clicks to book where the site has Square booking, directions and pages, to a property that you own, at no extra cost. See the events→
  • A privacy page: A short privacy page on your site that says, in plain words, that the site uses Google Analytics.
  • Me, directly: No account manager and no junior bench. You write to me and I answer.

Built for the first freeze

When the first hard freeze comes, the site’s winter note about frozen pipes and who to call goes to the top of the home page. Changing the note is a text change, and the after-hours messages are sorted into tonight and tomorrow.

AI help with after-hours calls and estimates for plumbers

The site brings the enquiry in. A few assistants can then do the office work behind it, each with one job and only the tools it needs, and a person approves anything that goes out.

Likely first jobs: After-hours triage; Estimates from visit notes; First-freeze message.

An agent graph for plumbing3 triggers, Emergency call or form, First hard freeze and Monday 7:00, feed a coordinator that plans and routes. It delegates to 4 agents: After-hours triage (emergency or next day) with Phone and text (read, draft) and Calendar (draft), Estimate drafter (estimate from price book) with Job app (read, draft), Freeze campaign (seasonal customer notes) with CRM (read, draft) and Invoice chaser (late invoices) with Accounting (read, draft). A reviewer checks each draft: Checks each draft against the price book, the emergency script (shut-off first, then call), licence and permits, and your voice. Nothing about drinking-water safety leaves it. A failed check goes back to the agent that made it. Then a person approves (Emergency callback offered, Every estimate and Seasonal messages), and only then is the output produced: Morning call list and Estimate drafts.Emergency call or formFirst hard freezeMonday 7:00planCoordinatorplans and routesdelegateAfter-hours triageemergency or next dayPhone and text (read, draft)Calendar (draft)Estimate drafterestimate from price bookJob app (read, draft)Freeze campaignseasonal customer notesCRM (read, draft)Invoice chaserlate invoicesAccounting (read, draft)checkReviewerPrice book, emergency scriptretryA person approvesEmergency callback offeredEvery estimateSeasonal messagesapproveMorning call listEstimate drafts

Never without a person

No estimate, text or email goes out without a person's yes, and no assistant tells a customer their water is safe to drink or that a gas water heater with a smell is fine to relight.

A free scoping call picks the size of the job, and a fixed price comes in writing before anything starts.

What the rules say, for plumbers and drain specialists

Who can do plumbing work in Michigan?

Most plumbing in Michigan is done by licensed master or journey plumbers working under a licensed plumbing contractor, with exemptions for minor repairs and for homeowners. A question about whether water is safe to drink goes to the plumber or the utility. This is not legal advice, so check the current rules with the state.

Questions from plumbers

Yes. In Michigan, most plumbing is done by state-licensed master or journey plumbers under a licensed plumbing contractor (MCL 339.6107), and your site can show your license numbers. This is not legal advice, so check the current rules with the state.

The pages are agreed on the intake call. For a plumber, a page for emergencies, one for drains and one for each town you cover are common examples.

Yes. Drains can have a page with what you clear, how a visitor can describe the problem and your number. It is agreed on the intake call.

No live voice. Overnight texts and forms are sorted into tonight and tomorrow, your shut-off script goes out only as you wrote it, and a person replies. The morning starts with a ranked list.

Built, hosted and looked after for $49 a month, billed monthly. No set-up fee. Month 1 is charged when you start. What is included is on the how it works page.

A draft in your voice goes to customers who agreed to hear from you, and you approve it before it goes. The winter note on the site goes up the same day as a text change.

It is built for local search and I check that your pages are indexed before I call it done. Nobody can promise a ranking, and I will not.

No set-up fee. Month 1 is charged when you start. It renews automatically each month. You can cancel any time with 30 days' notice.

No. If you already have one, use it: keep it where it is and point it at the site, or transfer it to me to manage. If you do not have one yet, you pick one and register it in your own name. A new domain is bought separately from the monthly price.

Ready for a site that answers the 2 a.m. search?

Start the site before the first hard freeze, or ask a question first. I reply within 24 hours.
