Websites, AI automation and security for electricians in Michigan

A website for a one-person electrical business.

Generators, panel upgrades and home EV chargers are jobs people look for. I build, host and look after a site for solo residential electricians, with an estimate form that asks what you need in order to quote.

Start for $49/month

Built, hosted and looked after for $49 a month, billed monthly. No set-up fee. Month 1 is charged when you start.

I’m Kevin Ferron. Through Kevin Ferron Tech Consultancy & Digital Agency (KFTCDA), based in the Detroit metropolitan area, I build, host and look after websites, set up AI automation, set up account and device security and build fixed-price software for electricians in Michigan.

Questions about the site first?

Five example layouts for an electrician’s site. The business is invented, and every layout is fully customizable: yours is designed with you on the intake call.

What the site can have for electricians

These are examples of what the site can have. There is one enquiry form, and the pages are agreed on the intake call.

  • Pages for your jobs

For example, a page each for generators, panels and EV chargers, agreed on the intake call.

  • Your license number in the header

It is on every page, so a visitor can see it before they read anything else.

  • An estimate form

The enquiry form can ask for the property address and the job, and sends each request to you.

How it works

  1. Ask and start

Send a short enquiry with the form. I reply within 24 hours. Use the link to start. No set-up fee. Month 1 is charged when you start.

  2. Send what I need

You send the words and photos, and the intake call sets out exactly what I need. On the intake call we agree the pages and the enquiry form.

  3. Build, preview, live

I build it, and you see it before it goes live. From then on I host it, keep it updated and fix what breaks, and I make the small updates you ask for.

The whole process, step by step →

What is included

  • A site built for you: I build it from what you send me, and you see it before it goes live.
  • Hosting and looking after it: Hosting, backups, security updates and fixes when something breaks are part of the monthly price.
  • Small updates: Changes to text, photos, hours and prices after launch are included. New pages or features are quoted separately.
  • Fast, and built for local search: Pages that load quickly on a phone, set up for local search, with an enquiry form that sends each request straight to you.
  • Online booking on Square Appointments: I set it up on your own Square account: up to 5 services, your availability, a deposit taken through your own Square account, reminders, an embed on your site and a link from Google, and one test booking, recorded.
  • Google Analytics events: Every site on the plan sends Google Analytics events for taps to call and email, the enquiry form, clicks to book where the site has Square booking, directions and pages, to a property that you own, at no extra cost. See the events→
  • A privacy page: A short privacy page on your site that says, in plain words, that the site uses Google Analytics.
  • Me, directly: No account manager and no junior bench. You write to me and I answer.

AI help with estimates and permits for electricians

The site brings the enquiry in. A few assistants can then do the office work behind it, each with one job and only the tools it needs, and a person approves anything that goes out.

Likely first jobs: Estimate from the web form; Permit and inspection tracking; Follow-up on open estimates.

An agent graph for electricians3 triggers, Estimate form submitted, Inspection result in and Monday 7:00, feed a coordinator that plans and routes. It delegates to 4 agents: Job intake (sort and reply to leads) with Email (read, draft) and Job app (draft), Estimate drafter (estimate from price book) with Job app (read, draft) and Price book (read), Permit tracker (permits and inspections) with Permit portal (read) and Calendar (draft) and Invoice chaser (late invoices) with Accounting (read, draft). A reviewer checks each draft: Checks each draft against the price book, the licence and scope (only work the licence covers, with a permit named where one is needed) and your voice. A fail goes back to the assistant. A failed check goes back to the agent that made it. Then a person approves (Every estimate sent, Any customer text or email and Scheduling an inspection), and only then is the output produced: Estimate draft in job app and Reply to the lead.Estimate form submittedInspection result inMonday 7:00planCoordinatorplans and routesdelegateJob intakesort and reply to leadsEmail (read, draft)Job app (draft)Estimate drafterestimate from price bookJob app (read, draft)Price book (read)Permit trackerpermits and inspectionsPermit portal (read)Calendar (draft)Invoice chaserlate invoicesAccounting (read, draft)checkReviewerPrice book, licence, scoperetryA person approvesEvery estimate sentAny customer text or emailScheduling an inspectionapproveEstimate draft in job appReply to the lead

Never without a person

No estimate, text or email goes out without a person's yes, and no assistant says a wiring problem is safe or that work meets code: only the licensed electrician and the inspector decide that.

Your phones and logins

Phones and tablets in the truck hold customer addresses and the job app's login. Sign-in setup and device management mean a lost phone can be locked and wiped remotely.

A fixed-price job, if the tools don’t do it

A permit tracker per town, where your job app does not keep one.

A free scoping call picks the size of the job, and a fixed price comes in writing before anything starts.

What the rules say, for electricians

Who may install electrical wiring in Michigan?

Only an individual licensed under Michigan’s Skilled Trades Regulation Act may install electrical wiring, with exceptions such as minor repairs and a homeowner’s work on their own home, and with a permit where the town inspects. An electrical contractor license needs an associated master electrician, who can be tied to one contractor at a time. This is not legal advice, so check the current rules with the state.

Questions from electricians

The engineer who wrote firmware for chargers deployed worldwide builds your site. You get that care at a small-business price.

Yes. It sits in the header of every page. Send it with the rest of what I need and I put it there.

The pages are agreed on the intake call. A page each for generators, panels and EV chargers is the usual starting point.

Yes. A line near the top is a text change, and the enquiry form can ask whether the job is a home.

It can draft one from the web form, the panel photos and your own price book, and you check it and send it. Nothing is promised that is not in your book, and nothing goes out until you say yes.

Yes. It keeps one list per town with the permit, the inspection date and the result, so a forgotten inspection does not hold up the final invoice. A person still talks to the inspector.

It is built for local search and I check that your pages are indexed before I call it done. Nobody can promise a ranking, and I will not.

No set-up fee. Month 1 is charged when you start. It renews automatically each month. You can cancel any time with 30 days' notice.

Small updates after launch (text, photos, hours, prices) are included. New pages or features are quoted separately.
