Websites, AI automation and security for groomers, pet sitters and dog walkers in Michigan
A website pet owners trust.
People hand over the pet, and sometimes the house key. I build, host and look after a site for groomers, sitters and dog walkers, with a page on who you are and a page of what you ask of every pet.
No set-up fee. Renews monthly; cancel with 30 days' notice.
Built, hosted and looked after for $49 a month, billed monthly. No set-up fee. Month 1 is charged when you start.
I’m Kevin Ferron. Through Kevin Ferron Tech Consultancy & Digital Agency (KFTCDA), based in the Detroit metropolitan area, I build, host and look after websites, set up AI automation and set up account and device security for groomers, pet sitters and dog walkers in Michigan.
Five example layouts for a pet care site. The business is invented, and every layout is fully customizable: yours is designed with you on the intake call.
What the site can have for groomers, pet sitters and dog walkers
These are examples of what the site can have. There is one enquiry form, and the pages are agreed on the intake call.
A requirements page
For example, a page that sets out what you ask of every pet, such as the vaccinations you want on file. It is your business’s own policy, in your words.
Holiday dates
A note near the top when your holiday sitting dates open or are full. Holiday sitting fills up early, and changing the note is a text change.
Online booking on Square Appointments
I set it up on your own Square account: up to 5 services, your availability, a deposit taken through your own Square account, reminders, an embed on your site and a link from Google, and one test booking, recorded.
How it works
1
Ask and start
Send a short enquiry with the form. I reply within 24 hours. Use the link to start. No set-up fee. Month 1 is charged when you start.
2
Send what I need
You send the words and photos, and the intake call sets out exactly what I need. On the intake call we agree the pages and the enquiry form.
3
Build, preview, live
I build it, and you see it before it goes live. From then on I host it, keep it updated and fix what breaks, and I make the small updates you ask for.
A site built for you: I build it from what you send me, and you see it before it goes live.
Hosting and looking after it: Hosting, backups, security updates and fixes when something breaks are part of the monthly price.
Small updates: Changes to text, photos, hours and prices after launch are included. New pages or features are quoted separately.
Fast, and built for local search: Pages that load quickly on a phone, set up for local search, with an enquiry form that sends each request straight to you.
Online booking on Square Appointments: I set it up on your own Square account: up to 5 services, your availability, a deposit taken through your own Square account, reminders, an embed on your site and a link from Google, and one test booking, recorded.
Google Analytics events: Every site on the plan sends Google Analytics events for taps to call and email, the enquiry form, clicks to book where the site has Square booking, directions and pages, to a property that you own, at no extra cost. See the events→
A privacy page: A short privacy page on your site that says, in plain words, that the site uses Google Analytics.
Me, directly: No account manager and no junior bench. You write to me and I answer.
Keys and alarm codes
Your phones and logins
Sitters hold keys and alarm codes. Sign-in setup on the pet-care app and device management for staff phones, with codes kept only in a password manager or the app's protected field, never in texts.
The site brings the enquiry in. A few assistants can then do the office work behind it, each with one job and only the tools it needs, and a person approves anything that goes out.
Likely first jobs: Clean intake; Expiring record reminders; After-visit note.
Reviewer
Checks each draft against the service requirements and the consent list. No medical advice: symptoms go to the vet.
Never without a person
No assistant gives medical or medication advice about a pet, tells an owner about an incident, accepts a pet whose records are missing, or sees, stores or sends a door or alarm code.
What the rules say, for groomers, pet sitters and dog walkers
Can a groomer or pet sitter give medical advice about a pet?
No. Diagnosing or treating animals is veterinary practice under Michigan’s Public Health Code. A groomer or sitter describes what they saw and sends the owner to the vet. This is not legal advice.
Yes. Your requirements page can list what you ask for, such as the vaccinations you want on file. It says what your business asks, in your words, and is not a statement of any law.
Yes. A line at the top that holiday dates are open, or full, is a text change. Small updates after launch (text, photos, hours, prices) are included. New pages or features are quoted separately.
Yes. A page in your own words, with the photos you send, so an owner can see who will be with the pet.
Only in the pet-care app's protected field or a password manager, never in a text or a note. No assistant ever sees or sends a code.
A draft reminder goes out before the expiry date so a visit is not cancelled on the day, and you approve it first.
It is built for local search and I check that your pages are indexed before I call it done. Nobody can promise a ranking, and I will not.
No set-up fee. Month 1 is charged when you start. It renews automatically each month. You can cancel any time with 30 days' notice.
You do, either way. The domain is bought and paid for separately from the monthly price. It stays in your name, and you keep it if you leave.
