Websites, AI automation and security for tree service crews in Michigan

Make it easy to call your crew when a limb comes down.

After a storm, people look for a tree company to call, and they are on a phone. I build, host and look after a site for family and solo arborist crews, with a call button that is easy to reach and an estimate form that asks the right things.

Start for $49/month

Built, hosted and looked after for $49 a month, billed monthly. No set-up fee. Month 1 is charged when you start.

I’m Kevin Ferron. Through Kevin Ferron Tech Consultancy & Digital Agency (KFTCDA), based in the Detroit metropolitan area, I build, host and look after websites, set up AI automation, set up account and device security and build fixed-price software for tree service crews in Michigan.

Questions about the site first?

Five example layouts for a tree care site. The business is invented, and every layout is fully customizable: yours is designed with you on the intake call.

What the site can have for tree care crews

These are examples of what the site can have. There is one enquiry form, and the pages are agreed on the intake call.

  • A call button that is easy to reach

For example, a tap-to-call button at the top of each page, for the person with a limb on the roof.

  • Service-area pages

A page for each town you cover, counted within the site, so people searching near them can find you. Nobody can promise a ranking, and I will not.

  • An estimate request with the address

The enquiry form can ask for the property address and what needs doing, and sends each request to you.

How it works

  1. Ask and start

Send a short enquiry with the form. I reply within 24 hours. Use the link to start. No set-up fee. Month 1 is charged when you start.

  2. Send what I need

You send the words and photos, and the intake call sets out exactly what I need. On the intake call we agree the pages and the enquiry form.

  3. Build, preview, live

I build it, and you see it before it goes live. From then on I host it, keep it updated and fix what breaks, and I make the small updates you ask for.

The whole process, step by step →

What is included

  • A site built for you: I build it from what you send me, and you see it before it goes live.
  • Hosting and looking after it: Hosting, backups, security updates and fixes when something breaks are part of the monthly price.
  • Small updates: Changes to text, photos, hours and prices after launch are included. New pages or features are quoted separately.
  • Fast, and built for local search: Pages that load quickly on a phone, set up for local search, with an enquiry form that sends each request straight to you.
  • Online booking on Square Appointments: I set it up on your own Square account: up to 5 services, your availability, a deposit taken through your own Square account, reminders, an embed on your site and a link from Google, and one test booking, recorded.
  • Google Analytics events: Every site on the plan sends Google Analytics events for taps to call and email, the enquiry form, clicks to book where the site has Square booking, directions and pages, to a property that you own, at no extra cost. See the events→
  • A privacy page: A short privacy page on your site that says, in plain words, that the site uses Google Analytics.
  • Me, directly: No account manager and no junior bench. You write to me and I answer.

Built for the tree year

After a storm the calls come all at once. Michigan’s DNR advises against pruning oaks from April 15 to July 15, so the site can lead with storm work and carry the DNR’s note in those months, then lead with pruning in winter. Changing what leads is a text change.

AI help with storm calls and estimates for tree service crews

The site brings the storm calls in. An assistant logs each one with the address, the hazard and the photos and ranks them by danger. Another turns your site notes into a draft estimate in your prices. You call back the worst first, and nothing goes out without your yes.

Likely first jobs: Storm-call triage; Estimates from site notes; Monday crew plan.

An agent graph for tree care3 triggers, Storm damage call, Estimate request and Monday 7:00, feed a coordinator that plans and routes. It delegates to 4 agents: Storm intake (storm triage) with Phone and text inbox (draft) and Job app (draft), Estimate drafter (tree estimates) with CRM (read), Job photos (read) and Job app (draft), Crew planner (crew schedule) with Calendar (draft), Weather forecast (read) and Job app (read) and Invoice chaser (late invoices) with Accounting (read) and Email (draft). A reviewer checks each draft: Checks each draft against the price book, the oak wilt dates (no oak pruning April 15 to July 15) and the near-power-lines rule: any job touching a line is flagged for a qualified line-clearance crew or the utility, never quoted as routine. A failed check goes back to the agent that made it. Then a person approves (Every estimate, Storm job dispatch and Any customer message), and only then is the output produced: Estimate sent and Crew schedule.Storm damage callEstimate requestMonday 7:00planCoordinatorplans and routesdelegateStorm intakestorm triagePhone and text inbox (draft)Job app (draft)Estimate draftertree estimatesCRM (read)Job photos (read)Job app (draft)Crew plannercrew scheduleCalendar (draft)Weather forecast (read)Job app (read)Invoice chaserlate invoicesAccounting (read)Email (draft)checkReviewerPrice book, oak wilt datesretryA person approvesEvery estimateStorm job dispatchAny customer messageapproveEstimate sentCrew schedule

Never without a person

No assistant judges a tree safe, or says it can wait, from a photo or a description. No estimate goes out and no storm crew arrival time is promised without a person.

A fixed-price job, if the tools don’t do it

A storm-response intake page, or a link between your estimate form and your field-service app, where the tools you have do not do it.

A free scoping call picks the size of the job, and a fixed price comes in writing before anything starts.

The software-spend review

The software-spend review is one module of Elite AI Enablement. For every recurring software charge you pay, I look at who uses it and what it duplicates, and decide whether to keep it, cut it, downgrade it or consolidate it. It is where the setup stops paying for tools an assistant now makes redundant.

What the rules say, for tree service crews

When should you not prune oak trees in Michigan?

Michigan’s DNR advises against trimming or pruning oak trees from April 15 to July 15, and says the best time to prune oaks is in winter, when the trees are dormant. This is the DNR’s advice, not a law, and your site can carry a short note about it on the estimate page.

Questions from tree service owners

Yes. Michigan's DNR advises against trimming or pruning oaks from April 15 to July 15 and says winter is the best time to prune them. If you want a short note about that on your estimate page, adding it is a text change. Small updates after launch (text, photos, hours, prices) are included. New pages or features are quoted separately.

The pages are agreed on the intake call. For a tree crew, a page for storm damage, one for ash removal and one for each town you cover are common examples.

Yes. Send photos of finished jobs and I put each on the page it belongs to, a removal on the removal page and a prune on the pruning page.

People who hear your name still look you up on a phone before they call. A page with tap-to-call and the towns you cover answers that look-up. Nobody can promise a ranking, and I will not.

No. After a storm, calls and forms are logged with the address, the hazard and the photos and sorted by danger, and a person phones back. Nothing goes to a customer without your yes.

It drafts them from your site notes, photos and your own prices, and you approve each one before it goes.

It is built for local search and I check that your pages are indexed before I call it done. Nobody can promise a ranking, and I will not.
